The Target Rifle Section is composed of full-bore shooters that use precision-built single shot rifles. Shooting at ranges of 300 to 900 meters, their commitment to excellence drives these shooters in all types of weather and wind conditions.Members provide their own equipment and ammunition during the weekly shooting sessions.

Routinely, the Target Rifle Section shoots Wednesdays from 1700hrs to last light and on Sundays from 0830hrs to approximately 1200hrs or later.The Target Rifle Section focuses their competitive efforts on the Victoria Day shoot which occurs in May each year, the Long Range Match from June 30 to July3 and the annual Dominion of Canada National Prize Meet held in early August. The section shoots April to November with a break in September for the Canadian Armed Forces Small Arms Concentration (CAFSAC).
