Service Pistol
The SERVICE PISTOL (SP) SECTION is dedicated to handgun shooting utilizing standard issue military and police style service issued handguns.
More relaxed than either IPSC or PPC, this style of shooting utilizes three different target types with distances ranging from 10 meters to 35 meters.<
The club does not provide equipment and shooters must provide their own firearms and ammunition.
Routinely, the SP Section shoots on Sunday mornings from 9:00 AM to approximately noon.
The Section shoots year-round with a break in mid-July to mid-August for the Canadian Forces Small Arms Competition (CFSAC) and the National Target Rifle Matches, both of which occur during this period.
Some members of the SP Section have competed in CFSAC for 15 or more years and we boast a record number of National Champion Shooters amongst our ranks.
